Clyde Blowers Capital is pleased to announce that Clyde Blowers Capital Fund III (“CBC Fund III”) has successfully completed the acquisition of the two trading businesses of Finland headquartered Moventas OY (“Moventas”), Moventas Wind OY and Moventas Santasalo OY, as a new platform investment. The transaction completed on 8 February 2012.

Moventas is one of the largest state of the art manufacturers of wind turbine gears in the world. The company also manufactures power transmission solutions for industrial markets including the pulp and fiber, mining and minerals and power generation industries. It also provides extensive aftermarket services for the maintenance, overhaul, upgrade, repair and replacement of gear systems. The company has 900 employees in ten countries globally with a worldwide partner network.

This is the first investment by CBC Fund III.
