Investment Analyst
Peter spent almost three years in Brewin Dolphin Investment Banking’s corporate finance team based in Edinburgh before joining CBC. He was part of the advisory team that successfully sold Scott Wilson Group plc to URS Corp in a deal that represented the second highest bid-premium in recent history on the London markets in 2010. Other notable transactions are a £38m secondary placing for JKX Oil and Gas PLC, the acquisition of minority shareholdings of Dobbies Garden plc by Tesco plc as part of their £151m takeover and the £20m secondary placing for Leed Petroleum plc. During his time at Brewin Dolphin Peter gained further experience in public equity issues, mergers & acquisitions and strategic reviews.
Prior to his tenure at Brewin Dolphin Peter completed a six month internship with Blās Limited, a specialist corporate finance and advisory boutique based in Edinburgh. Peter was involved with the sale process of Weldex (Offshore) International which resulted in a £100m secondary MBO sponsored by Dunedin Capital Partners, a strategic review for a high profile high street bank and a private fundraising for a revolutionary new airline.
Peter joined CBC in November 2010 as an Investment Analyst. Peter’s day-to-day responsibilities include deal origination, portfolio management and fund accounting for CBC II and operational finance, banking and corporate governance with respect to the operational management of portfolio companies.
Peter holds an honours degree in Applied Economics from The University of St Andrews and has a Diploma in Corporate Finance from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
