Investment Director (Operations)
Scott joined Clyde Blowers in 2001 and was previously a senior manager with Arthur Andersen. His role in his first seven years with Arthur Andersen was in the provision of assurance services to both public and private companies in a wide variety of industries including transport, oil support services, construction and engineering. During this period he performed audit work on financial statements and other reporting documents for companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. During his last two years at Arthur Andersen he had moved to focus on transaction support services, where he was involved in the provision of acquisition support for companies and private equity/institutional investors.
Scott has performed a number of roles within the Clyde Blowers portfolio including the Group Financial Controller for the Clyde Bergemann Power Group from 2003 to 2006. Scott became Director of Corporate Finance and Company Secretary for InterBulk Group plc in February 2006. Since that time Scott has been involved in the review of funding and acquisitions for the company. In addition, Scott has been responsible for all AIM reporting matters. Scott led the acquisition team from the financial side on both the UTT and InBulk acquisitions in February 2006 and the most recent acquisition of UTI which completed in April 2007. These involved fresh equity raising on the AIM market and debt packages at each stage. This has taken the InterBulk Group from an AIM cash shell to a £270m turnover integrated global group. In April 2007 Scott became Group Finance Director for InterBulk Group plc.
Scott has a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Glasgow. He was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland in 1995.
