Career History

Sharon previously served as diplomat with the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she built up a broad network of contacts among local governments and regulators. Prior to joining Clyde Blowers, she was Corporate Communications Officer with the Dow Jones Beijing Office, where she was responsible for all media communications with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Role at Clyde Blowers

Sharon joined Clyde Blowers in 1999 as Business Development Manager where she was actively involved in the set-up of Clyde Blowers’ ventures in China, particularly in the areas of developing JV partners, negotiation with potential JV partners as well as the preparation of JV documentation.

From 2003-2007, she was the Director of Finance & HR of Clyde Bergemann China and assisted the establishment of the company setting up the accounting, financial reporting, internal controls and the HR systems. In this position, she gained hands-on operational experience in the areas of finance, HR as well as general management.

She has worked for CBC since inception and has been playing an important role in both the evaluation of potential JV partners and acquisition targets (covering internal financial due diligence and reviewing strategy) and the formulation and implementation of strategies covering business planning and strategic management of JV partners.

Qualifications

Sharon holds a B.A degree from Beijing Foreign Studies University and a MBA from China Europe International Business School.
