DBS supports BAE Systems in bid for Future Frigate Programme
25th January 2018
As a longstanding defence industry gearing supplier and manufacturer of main propulsion gearboxes for large scale marine defence applications, David Brown Santasalo (DBS) has been announced as one of BAE Systems’ partners in its tender for the Royal Australian Navy’s SEA 5000 Future Frigate programme.
CBC Investment Director, Stewart Macintosh, commented:
“This is a very exciting and important development for Clyde Blowers Capital’s portfolio company David Brown Santasalo, underlining its world-leading expertise in marine propulsion technology and long-established partnership with BAE Systems.
Across our portfolio companies, we are focused on delivering local engineering, service and support so the opportunity for DBS to partner with BAE on such a strategically important project that will promote local job creation and maximise the opportunity for Australian businesses, is hugely significant for CBC.”
