Allrig wins top innovation prize at the 2017 Offshore Achievement Awards
16th October 2017
We are delighted to announce that Allrig have been awarded the ‘Excellence Innovation Award’ at the 3rd Offshore Achievement Awards 2017 held in Dubai, UAE.
The award recognises Allrig’s recent groundbreaking work using ‘Allrig smart glasses’ which, via live streaming of video and audio through a headset by a technician on a rig, offers real-time inspection and reporting. They have already successfully completed the first pilots and are currently rolling out the service to their global customers.
The awards ceremony formed part of the prestigious Offshore Jack Up middle East (OJME) conference where Allrig’s CEO, Mark Hannigan, gave a presentation on how to unlock projects in USD 50 oil from a service and maintenance perspective. He also explained the strategy behind the new innovative service:
“With the market downturn, many large drilling companies have survived by cutting costs here and there, but this is unsustainable in the long-term because cost savings will need to come from somewhere else.
At Allrig, we understand this. That is why we have adapted our strategy to disrupt the industry, by investing in smart partnerships and using the latest technologies to further optimize cost savings for customers, avoiding the expensive and time consuming process of international mobilization, without compromising on quality.”
