Keith was sponsored through university (BSc Mechanical Engineering, Strathclyde University) by Lloyds Register of Shipping and, on graduating, was recruited by FosterWheeler where he completed his professional engineering training (Chartered Engineer and Fellow of The Institution of Mechanical Engineers). He then worked in Australia before returning to UK in 1989 to start his MBA (Strathclyde Graduate Business School).
Keith has almost 30 years of experience in Operational, Business Development and Leadership roles across various industries. He has worked for a number of large organisations including Foster Wheeler, ABB, AMEC and Wood Group and a variety of SME’s such as J2C plc, Nomad Digital and McGrigors Solicitors.
Keith joined Clyde Blowers in 2005 working as Chief Operating Officer at Clyde Bergemann Power Group (“CBPG”), supporting its European and Indian operations. In 2008, he supported ClydeUnion Pumps as Joint CEO and helped to grow that business from £70 million to over £400 million in sales in less than 5 years. He has since supported Clyde Process Solutions plc and Hydreco.
Keith has significant experience starting-up, acquiring and developing businesses around the world and is involved in supporting the growth strategies in our portfolio businesses.
He is currently Chairman of three of our portfolio companies - Allrig, Ferguson Marine Engineering, KETO Group and a member of the Fund Leadership Team and Investment Committee.
